Multinational corporations are using local developers in their attempt to construct more than 200 industrial wind turbines across Fairfield, Ogden, Palmyra, and Riga Townships. These 300 ton industrial wind turbines would stand 493 feet tall – dominating Lenawee County’s landscape and making them among the tallest structures in Michigan. The developers are seeking permission from local governments to place these industrial wind turbines as close as 1000 feet from existing residences – with or without the homeowner’s consent.
